Indoor Batting Practice

At the beginning of November, I received this post card in the mail from the Pirates:

It was an invitation to a special batting practice event for season ticket holders only.

I decided to attend if only for the chance to meet Pedro Alvarez (again), and get his autograph.    I attended last year (you can read about that HERE), and it was a positive experience – getting to take some BP, and hang out with Pirates players in the Club level.

I attended this event with my wife, and we were disappointed to find out that the dinner and player  ‘mingling’ area would be in the press conference room, rather than the Club level.
Among the autographs I received today were Pirates players Kevin Hart, Jeff Clement, Delwyn Young, Evan Meek and Andy LaRoche.

Overall, I would give this season ticket holder event a C-.  We could’ve been in and out in probably 15 minutes.  There just wasn’t that much to do besides hit 15 balls and get a few autographs.
