1-2-10 Season Ticket Holder Correspondence

There’s not much to write about during the offseason, so I’ll try to blog about any little thing that I can that is related to baseball.

I got the mail today and saw that there was a white envelope from the Pirates.  Inside there were several papers.

The first was a letter from my season ticket representative that outlined several benefits for season ticket holders, such as early entrance to PirateFest, an opportunity to buy tickets before the general public, and the MVP Zone (a season ticket holder only area at PirateFest).

There was a small pamphlet also included with the following information:

No?  Saturday January 30th 10:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Someone’s going to get reprimanded for that one.)

Anyway… Apparently, the only day with early entrance for Season Ticket holders is Friday.  Last year, we were also allowed in an hour early on Sunday.

Pirates in attendance at Piratefest will be Andrew McCutchen, Garrett Jones, Ryan Doumit, Zach Duke, Paul Maholm, Ross Ohlendorf, and ‘many more.’

Tickets will be $12 for adults and $4 for kids 14 and unders.  If I’m not mistaken, it was $10 last year for adults.

That’s about it.

Dude!! That’s the funniest thing I read in days! But seriously, I’m disgruntled with the state of baseball in Pittsburgh too. It just shouldn’t be this way. I went to Pitt 3 years ago for a White Sox series. That park is mint! The statues and Negro League tributes had my camera smoking! Good Town. Good Time! happy2010! hang in there.

Hello Erik! I just wanted to congratulate you on quite a remarkable 2009 snagging season. Cheers to an even better 2010 season! I also wanted you to know that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog as it is well written and filled with an adequate amount of pictures. Your blog has made me want to buy season tickets. I live in Arizona so I would want season tickets to Chase Field. I was looking at tickets and you only get season ticket benefits if you buy a full season package (I believe thats what I read) I wish they had a 13 game package like the Reds.
Anyways, thanks!

it was ten bucks for adults last year at Pirate Fest. I’ve been reading all about the perks of being a season ticket holder and I always tell my buddies the first thing I’m doing once I graduate is getting a full ticket package. However, this year I have been thinking of getting a ten game package or something along those lines. I easily make ten and more games a year making the drive from Morgantown, do you think it would be worth it? And would I get similiar priveleges to that of a full season ticket holder?
