Ballhawk League 2010 : Week 1
The ballhawk league is back with its first weekly update. We had a first time winner this week, Shawn B, and he celebrate his victory he did:
Shawn’s best finish last year was one 2nd place finish during week 10. He may be one ballhawk to keep an eye on this year.
Shawn narrowly defeated yours truly, Erik Jabs, by a one ball margin. Its nothing new, as Erik finished runner up five times last year. Also defeated was reigning Ballhawk League champion Zack Hample, although Zack did put up 15 balls in one game, and set a new Citi Field record in the process. Additionally, Joe Faraguna made a run at the top spot and snagged 14 balls in just one game. Here he is struggling to hold all of his snags at once:

April is going to be a reeeeeally slow month for me, but hopefully I’ll catch up in May. Looks like I’ll be attending 12 games next month in four different cities. Anyway…thanks, Erik, for continuing to run the league. This is lots of fun. Good luck to all my fellow competitors.
I may only go to one game (if I’m lucky) from now until June. I may get lucky and go to more than one, but that will be hard to do. Once the summer comes, I will be going to more games.
