There are 30 teams in each group.
Rather than picking names out of a hat, I am going to be picking MLB Teams. This will assign each blog reader a team. Here’s the selection video:
I will then simulate the 2012 season three times on my Playstation3 video game: MLB The Show 2012. The team that wins each group’s world series will advance their team to the final round.
After three seasons have been simulated, there will be three finalists. Each finalist will then be assigned a division. One finalist will get all EAST teams, another will get all CENTRAL teams, and another will be represented by all WEST teams.
I will simulate the 2012 season one final time and we will have our winner!

I have some pretty good teams: Red Sox, Tigers, Phillies, Rangers, & DBacks… i also have the Pirates, Royals, annd Mets…
Hopefully I win I got some decent teams. The Cardinals, Reds Sox, Brewers, and Indians. But I have teams that aren’t so good: the Blue Jays and Astros. This sounds like a fun contest.

In one of the simulated seasons that you’ll see coming up the Yankees finished 23 games out of first place. So I guess anything can happen.
